Born and raised in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Melissa attended the College of Fine Art (COFA), University of New South Wales (UNSW) and was awarded a Bachelor of Art Theory in 2002. Melissa’s final year was a unique international student exchange at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin (NCAD), focusing on textile art. In 2014, Melissa undertook post-graduate units in Arts Management and Arts Marketing with Deakin University, Melbourne.
She is the founder of the Australian Arts & Cultural Management Network and has also commenced her solo practice, Wide Open Eye, with a focus upon general and strategic management and marketing across art forms and genres.
Always aspiring to learn more, Melissa is now undertaking a Master of Arts (Writing and Literature) and a Master of Publishing and Communications.
