Tripwire awarded subsidy for The Belly Dancer development

We’re pleased to announce that we are the recipient of a Performance Subsidy from the Capital Venues & Events and City of Greater Bendigo! We’ll be taking up residence in The Engine Room for a week in August to work on new play, The Belly Dancer.

Writers Jake Honeychurch and Megan Riedl will be joined by Director Alise Amarant and three actors to spend several days in script development workshops. Stakeholders from project partners Centre for Non-Violence and other key community groups and organisations will be invited to consult on the script in progress.

The week will culminate in the official launch of the Belly Dancer project, with VIPs invited to view an excerpt of the performance and hear about opportunities to support the production in March 2019.
