Local theatre hotting up over summer

Summer has been a busy time for our members, with all sorts of productions in full swing. They’ll be ready for you to get along and soak up some local theatre in the next few months.

Megan Riedl’s play “Two Men, One Frypan” has been chosen to be part of the Bendigo Theatre Company’s 2018 Ten x 10 season, with our committee member Alise Amarant chosen to Direct. 1-3 March at BTC Arts Shed

Darcy Oliver, our dependable Cnr Bleakly from Hollow, and one of our newest members Simon Carroll, are both gracing the stage in the ensemble for Lyric Theatre’s upcoming Jesus Christ Superstar. 1- 11 March at Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts.

Christine Tammer and Erin McCusky’s work Random Number Generator, which is based on ‘The Venue‘ will transform the Old Sherriff’s Office on Camp Street, and Pauline O’Shannessy Dowling’s Dreamscape will illuminate Chancery Lane as part of White Night 2018. Saturday 17 March, 7pm til 2am, Ballarat.

Jake Honeychurch has been cast as Jeff in Creswick Theatre Company’s The Sum of Us, which will be directed by Megan Riedl. 5-14 April at The Old Courthouse Theatre, Creswick.

Kerry Turpie, who performed for us at the Hollow Launch, will be directing Wyrd Sisters for Bendigo Theatre Company’s Tribe youth theatre. 5-8 April at the BTC Arts Shed.
